The Ataoja of Osogboland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji, has endorsed Ajagunla Olubiyi Fadeyi of the People’s Democratic Party as a better candidate for Osun Central senatorial district in 2023.
The traditional ruler made the pronouncement today Friday 21st October, 2022 during a meeting with palace Chiefs and the Osogbo-born PDP chieftain, Alhaji Muniru Adebayo Raji who led his team to the Royal Palace.
Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji describes PDP senatorial candidate, Ajagunla Olubiyi Fadeyi as a honourable and perfect gentleman who has the interest of the people at heart, adding that his leadership will usher in unprecedented development in Osogboland and the entire Osun Central. The monarch also appealed to the sons and daughters of Osogbo (home and abroad) to give maximum support to Chief Olubiyi Fadeyi in the February 25 National Assembly elections.
“Ajagunla Olubiyi Fadeyi has come to recompense me. Give your support to him. He is a man of integrity capable of bringing development to Osogboland. He respects elders including the traditional stool”, the monarch appealed. He further appreciated the organizers of the occasion, while calling on the people of Osogbo to stay peaceful with one another.
Alhaji Muniru Adebayo Raji thanked the traditional leaders for the endorsement, noting that Ajagunla Olubiyi Fadeyi will not renege on his promise to make Osogboland a hub of social and economic development.
