Osun LG Poll: Afolabi Promises Youth Inclusiveness In His Administration As PDP Campaign Team Storms Oloki/Akoda, Ward 0
As residents of Oloki/Akoda, Ward 09 trooped out en-mass to rally round chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Ede South Local Government Area of Osun, Hon. Lukman Afolabi, they have been assured that dividend of democracy will get to them.
This assurance was made known by a former chairman of the council, Elder Sunday Akanfe Atidade, who led the campaign team to Oloki/Akoda, Ward 09, on Thursday.
Speaking at the campaign, Elder Atidade reaffirmed his confidence in the candidature of Hon. Lukman Afolabi highlighted his exceptional capacity to chair Ede South Local Government.
According to the erstwhile council chairman, “Afolabi has been demonstrating remarkable leadership skills and a genuine commitment to the welfare of the people, even ahead of election.”
He charged him to surpass his predecessors’ achievements, starting from February 23 after swore into office and ensured that his administration brought tangible benefits to the people.
He also tasked Afolabi with ensuring that the dividend of democracy reaches all nooks and crannies of Ede South, regardless of social status and political affiliation.
Addressing the mammoth crowd , lawmaker representing Ede South State Constituency at the Osun State House of Assembly, Barr. Taofik Olayiwola, hammered on PDP’s unbeaten record in Oloki/Akoda Ward.
He urged the residents to vote massively for PDP in the upcoming February 22 election and assured them that the party would continue to deliver on its promises and improve the lives of the people.
Also, in his campaign address, Hon. Afolabi reiterated his commitment to transforming the living standard of all residents of Ede South through sustainable development, inclusive governance, and people-oriented policies.
He promised to surpass his predecessors’ achievements, ensuring youth inclusivity in his administration, and encouraging massive voting to show opposition parties that the PDP was unbeatable.
“I’m optimistic about a successful and enhanced tenure, as we follow in our leaders’ footsteps and build on their achievements,” Afolabi said.
