The attention of the Media office of the immediate past Kogi state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Gubernatorial candidate and former senator representing the good people of Kogi West senatorial district in the 8th National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye, has been drawn to a fabricated story making the rounds especially on social media about a purported “structure hijack” in the forthcoming State congress by a faceless group known as FORUM OF KOGI EAST ELDERS.
For the avoidance of doubt, the dubious forum, whose membership and existence are draped in anonymity have only acted in disguise and cowardice, using a pseudo name that is the virus version of the authentic and real leaders of our great Party in Kogi East.
For record purposes; the story is nothing but a clear departure from reality and at best, a figment of the faceless group’s imagination. It is nothing but a parlour gossip of idle talkers, who are consumed by the overwhelming political stature of Senator Dino Melaye, and have resorted to rabble rousing in their panick mode.
SDM media office wishes to state in no ambiguous and in no uncertain terms that the Senator Dino Melaye has no hands in such matters. It is another mischievous act in their usual manner to drag his name into their beer-parlor squabbles.
It is no news that Senator Dino Melaye, since after the sham of an election in Kogi State has moved on to add another feather to his already impressive intellectual cap by pursuing his legal studies in Nigeria Law school, Bwari, FCT Abuja.
Every sane mind knows how rigorous, tedious and time consuming the Law School can be. Only small minds will engage in diatribes just to score cheap and needless points.
Senator Dino Melaye is clear on his stands as regards the forthcoming congress; the need to secure an effective opposition to deliver the people from the current place-holder Government in Kogi State and Nigeria at large, a task which can only be achieved through a thorough democratic process of free and fair congress.
Senator Dino Melaye media office is no stranger to the myriads of political issues this faceless group has been orchestrating in recent times. It is therefore on this premise that the eminent leaders and the good people of Kogi East to discountenance the ranting and the mischievous, but failed effort to drag Senator Dino Melaye into speculative and baseless misgivings.
The office cautions that no one has the monopoly of mischief and that it would not hesitate to expose those sponsoring unwarranted attack against the unassailable status of Senator Dino Melaye. A word is enough, even for the foolish.
