In a grand celebration organized by the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development and the Planning Committee of Friends of Princess (Dr.) Joan Jummai Idonije, JP, a remarkable woman was honored for her tireless efforts in championing women’s rights and empowerment. Princess Dr. Joan Jummai Idonije, JP, marked her 60th birthday and retirement from public service with an event themed “Accelerating Gender Equality: An Intergenerational Dialogue on Beijing+30 in Nigeria.” Little miss Kogi delivered a heartfelt speech praising Princess Dr. Idonije’s dedication to creating a more inclusive and equitable society.

The event, which spotlighted female permanent secretaries in the Nigeria public service, was a symbol of the legacy that Princess Dr. Idonije has left behind for future generations. Queen Aisha Salau Audu, the Little Miss Kogi, delivered a heartfelt speech praising Princess Dr. Idonije’s dedication to creating a more inclusive and equitable society.
