As the former Team Manager of the Nigerian Baseball and Softball national team and now the Technical Director of baseball and softball, Coach Olajide Abidoye could not hide his excitement as he witnessed the sport’s resurgence on home soil.

During a press conference, Coach Olajide Abidoye was joined by a former national player, the national pitching coach, and an ex-international, Apostle Armstrong Oguche who barraged him with questions about the impressive performance of the young athletes. Beaming with pride, Abidoye declared his immense delight at seeing baseball back on track, featuring in the national youth games for the very first time.

“The players are well-coordinated, from pitchers to catchers and fielders,” Coach Jide Abidoye shared with a glimmer of pride. “It is evident that the coaches have put in tremendous efforts to nurture and improve these young talents. The rating given by Abidoye was a confident and resounding 70% good performance, highlighting the strides made by the young athletes.
