The Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Architect Idris Salman has tasked the leadership of the country to be more proactive in tackling the security menace in Nigeria, stressing that it is not good enough to be reactive, waiting for when issues come before taking steps.

He disclosed this while addressing newsmen on his sallah message at his county home in Aiyegunle Gbede, Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

According to him, it is pathetic and called for questioning for the bandits to operate freely for hours in government installations like Kuje Maximum Prison despite the closeness of military formations to the Correctional facility and no one could counter them up till time they finished their operation and escape without any arrest.

He said Nigerians need more committed leaders that will go all out to defend the country from all the social vices that is bedeviling the nation, pointing out that the people should use the opportunity of the forthcoming general elections in 2023 to elect leaders with genuine zeal to develop the nation not people with laissez faire attitudes to critical issue of moving the country forward.

He said despite the fact that his party ADC is relatively new in the Constituency, his person and personality is well known to the people, as such ADC as a political party parades people with credibility as being witnessed in Hon Leke Abejide who has shown to be a worthy Representative, pointing out that Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency can also enjoy such representation if he is elected at the poll.

He urged Muslims to continually live a life of sacrifice as they celebrate this year Edi Kabir.
