The Minister of State FCT, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has described the Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Kashim Shettima as one of the nation’s success stories.
Aliyu further stated that the achievements of Sen. Shettima as governor of Borno State especially during the pick of insurgency sets him as one of APC’s best governors the country has produced since the beginning of the recent democratic journey.
In a message to celebrate his 56th birthday anniversary, the Minister added that his nomination as the APC vice presidential candidate would, in no small measure, bolster the party’s chances ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
“I celebrate with our Vice Presidential candidate, Sen. Kashim Shettima on his 56th birthday anniversary, even as we pray the almighty Allah to give you renewed health and strength for the tasks ahead.
“Your strength of character as governor of Borno State during the height of insurgency is a testament to the person you are and your desire to give purposeful leadership even in turbulent times.
“It is more important to note that you handed over the Borno State to a competent and a worthy successor in the person of Prof. Babagana Zulum, and even in the Senate, you have been setting the pace in good governance.
” I know that you will bring these characteristics to bear as we head towards the presidential election and ultimately when we win the elections. Congratulations on this remarkable age”.
