60th Anniversary of St Monica’s College Kabba Commences with Opening Mass

The 60th anniversary celebration of St Monica’s College Kabba commenced today with an opening mass conducted by Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Tolorunshagba.

In a captivating address, Rev. Fr. Tolorunshagba highlighted the college’s success in building great women and impacting holistic education.

During his speech, Rev. Fr. Tolorunshagba commended the college for excelling in academics, sports, and extra-curricular activities. He also saluted the past principals and staff, as well as the present ones, for upholding the high standards that the college is known for. Additionally, he praised the Old Girls for their continued support and for their various projects that have benefited the school.

The College Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Donatus Ogunleye, who was represented by the Asst Chaplain Fr. Gerald Adeshina Araiyegbemi, expressed gratitude to everyone and thanked the Old Girls for giving back to the college that made them. He assured them of his continued support for the progress and development of the college.

Also in attendance at the Mass were Fr. Stanley Eriki and Fr. Moses Ojogbane.

The principal of St Monica’s College Kabba, Mrs. Susan Kehinde Omonori in her remarks, thanked everyone for their support and encouraged them not to miss any part of the one-week-long activities that will mark the anniversary.

The one-week-long celebration promises to be a time of reflection, nostalgia, and celebration for the entire college community as they look back on 60 years of rich history and achievement.
