In his characteristics manner, Dr. Idris Rufus Oluwafemi (IDRUFEM) gave full scholarship (including accomodations) to a good number of students across Kabba/Bunu and Ijumu Local Governments for a 3 years NCE Programme at Kogi State College of Education Technical, Mopa.
Sometimes in July 2025, the College identified Dr. Idris as a philanthropist of repute, who believes in giving meaning to lives, and went further to induct him as a friend of the College. Immediately after the induction, he made a pledged to sponsor some students across Kabba/Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency in his support for the students’ drive it the College.
IDRUFEM has not only fulfilled his promise, but he has also gone further to ensure those students are comfortably settled in school for academic activities. He provided additional financial assistance to some of the students whose family or community have suffered economic and financial hardship caused by bandit attack and kidnapping.
According to IDRUFEM, “education is life, and the beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.” Hence, IDRUFEM pedged to put in a robust follow-up and mentorship mechanism towards ensuring the beneficiaries of the scholarship succeed in their education and career.
The beneficiaries and the entire Okun community in Kogi State College of Education Technical, Mopa, sends their words of appreciation for the benevolent gesture of Dr. Idris.
