Kabba-Bunu State Assembly candidate on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, come 2023, Hon. Femi Obalemo has commiserated with the Kiri descendants, at home and in diasporas, over the demise of late Olukiri of Kirkland, His Royal Highness, Oba Jerome Mosiko who has joined his ancestors.
In his condolence message, the financial expert, paid tribute to the late monarch.”We’ve Lost Great Monarch”, he grieved.
Hon. Femi Obalemo’s condolence message goes thus,”With the sudden demise of His Royal Highness, Oba Jerome Mosiko, Kiriland, Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area and indeed Kogi State has lost a great Monarch.
“In his lifetime, Oba Jerome Mosiko demonstrated genuine leadership by contributing to both local and statewide issues objectively. He was humane, cerebral and accomodating.
“On my last visit to him on the 14th July, 2022, during the celebration of the New Yam Festival, I was privileged to receive his royal blessing in his palace. He was full of life and I never knew it was going to be the last time I will see him.
“His reign brought peace and progress to Kirkland and his memories will remain evergreen in the minds of the people.
“I condole with Olori, and all sons and daughters of Kiriland in general on the sudden demise of our King.
“My heart and prayers are with the Mosiko’s family at this period.
Kabiyesi lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation.
I pray God grants him eternal rest.
