‎Women Wing of Medical and Health Workers Union in Kogi State visits Special Adviser on Labour Matters, commends Gov Ododo on the Choice of Edoka

The Women Wing of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter has expressed delight on the appointment of Comrade Onuh Edoka as Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour Matters.

‎Chairperson of the Women Wing, Comrade Rose Obademi who led the group on a Courtesy visit to the Special Adviser on Wednesday, noted that the choice of Comrade Onuh Edoka was a right step in the right direction.
‎
‎He noted that Comrade Edoka has so far demonstrated sincerity of purpose, exceptional leadership qualities and courage in leadership.
‎
‎According to her, the visit was to express gratitude for his kindness, sense of direction and mentorship, stressing that the lessons learnt under Comrade Edoka will remain indelible.
‎
‎Comrade Rose Obademi assured that the women Wing of Medical and Health Workers Union will continue to support the Special Adviser in his quest to make life more meaningful for workers through the workers friendly Governor.
‎
‎Responding, the Special Adviser on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka said the visit was symbolic and unique, explaining that it was the first women affiliate Union to visit since his appointment.
‎
‎According to him, the Medical and Health Workers Union remains his mother Union hence he will continue to offer necessary advice and support.
‎
‎Comrade Edoka told the visiting women Wing of Medical and Health Union that the present administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has prioritized the welfare of workers, calling for support for the administration to enable it succeed.
‎
‎”Yesterday was just 23rd of September, yet, the Governor has paid salaries, this is governance, and further demonstrating the Governor’s philosophy that the labourer deserves his wages and promptly too”, he stated.
‎
‎The Special Adviser congratulated Comrade Rose for emerging Chairperson of Women Commission of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and urged the women Wing to be committed to the course.
‎
‎Highlight of the visit was special prayer for the government, Comrade Onuh Edoka and for the prosperity of the nation as well as presentation of a congratulatory gift to the Special Adviser.
