EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE

You are all aware of my decision (after prompts and due consultations) to contest the House of Representatives elections to represent Yagba Federal Constituency in the National Assembly from 2023. On 23rd May 2022, members of our great party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gave me the mandate as a candidate in a free, fair, transparent and unprecedently peaceful primary.
It is on record that this primary is also unique in the sense that co-contestants immediately acknowledged its fairness and the tranquil atmosphere within which it was conducted, embraced and congratulated me.
I am overwhelmed by the level of support and the harmonious conclusion. I want to assert that no one person is a victor, none is vanquished. It is a victory for all. It follows that all hands must be on deck to achieve total victory in the general elections. We must move together as one (in unity of purpose) and for the common good of Yagba to defeat opposition which we must assume is formidable. I make a plea for all to come on board to help actualize my vision
for a better Yagba. As I always say ‘I have the vision, you have the mandate
……….’!
I thank God almighty for this success. My enormous gratitude also goes to the
leadership and membership of PDP, Yagba Federal Constituency led by the
indefatigable personality, His Excellency, Yomi Awoniyi for their unalloyed
support. I acknowledge the support of all members of PDP, Yagba Federal
Constituency, members of opposition parties, all and sundry whose support, in
one way or the other led to this victory.
I must not fail to make a particular mention of my co-contestants namely;
Chief Edward Meseko and Mr Sikiru Bamidele Yusuf. I commend your spirit of
sportsman. You are exemplars of courtesy, fairness, and good temper.
Let us work together to achieve the desires and aspirations of our people in the area
of versatile legislation and service.
I recognize the contributions of religious organizations, traditional rulers,
youths, women groups, tribal unions, hunters unions,the physically challenged
and the generality of the populace of Yagba Federal Constituency. May God
reward you all.
This is just the beginning of the race. The general election that would usher Yagba into a new era of legislation comes up soon.
Your support that will enable me to cross the hurdle to the Green Chamber is paramount and hereby solicited. I will continue to reach out to you individually and collectively.
