In a heartfelt tribute, Chief Mrs. Toyin Omole has joined the Kabba and the entire Owe community in mourning the painful loss of Hajia Rekiya Alfa Usman, fondly known as Hajia London, who passed away on May 14, 2025.
Expressing deep sorrow, Chief Mrs. Omole described Hajia Rekiya as a true patriot, a compassionate mother, and a selfless giver whose impact on society will forever be remembered. “Her demise is a tremendous loss, not just to her family and friends but to the many lives she touched through her kindness and commitment to community development,” she said.
Chief Mrs. Omole emphasized Hajia Rekiya’s invaluable contributions to the socio-cultural and political progress of the Owe community, stating that her generosity and proactive spirit created opportunities and inspired many. “She was a woman whose love for humanity knew no bounds. Her unwavering dedication to uplifting those around her will remain an enduring legacy.”
As family, friends, and well-wishers mourn her passing, Chief Mrs. Omole encouraged everyone to take solace in the fact that Hajia Rekiya lived a life of purpose and positive impact. “She has run her race with dignity and grace, and now she rests in eternal peace with her Creator.”
She also extended her prayers to the bereaved family, asking God to grant them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
The Owe community, and all who knew her will dearly miss Hajia Rekiya, but her memory will continue to inspire generations to come. May she find eternal peace.
